Features:
Solitary beam detectors, or single beam sensors, are instrumental in the automation of sliding doors, shutter doors, garage doors, windows, and more. Each unit features a transmitter and receiver with an integrated amplifier that projects an infrared beam resistant to external light interference. These sensors, even when installed at a low height (20-40cm above the ground), deliver a reliable detection range of 2-20 meters. The IR-20 sensor's self-detecting feature ensures that if the beam is interrupted, the door stops closing and quickly retracts to fully open, resuming operation only once the beam is restored. This smart detection mechanism deactivates after the door completely closes.
Functionality:
Position each detector pair at opposite points to establish an infrared zone. Movement within this zone triggers an alarm signal to the connected security alarm host (not included). This system is perfect for securing educational institutions, commercial buildings, medical facilities, residences, and more. Remarkably, the detection range remains stable even in challenging weather conditions such as rain or dust storms.
The JUTAI IR-20 infrared photo sensor is designed with compactness, IP65 waterproof rating, and high resistance to ultraviolet radiation and abrasive particles, ensuring its durability in harsh outdoor environments. An easy-to-follow English manual with illustrated diagrams is included to facilitate installation and setup.

In practical applications, the photocell sensor is designed to select the optimal trigger response time. A too-short response time may cause unnecessary interference from elements like flying birds or falling leaves, leading to false alarms. Conversely, a too-long response time can result in missed detections, rendering the sensor ineffective.
Installation
1. To begin, lift the front panel of the IR-20 photocell to open it.
2. Insert the cables into their respective housings and secure the base to the wall. If mounting on a wall, drill three 5ø holes and use appropriate screw anchors. For metal mounting, drill three 3ø holes and use self-tapping screws.
3. Connect the power to the photocells, which can operate on 12-24 VAC or 12-30 VDC. If the positioning, alignment, and connections are correctly executed, the red LED on the receiver will remain off. The red LED will light up each time the infrared beam is interrupted.
4. Close the photocell by covering it with the front panel. Ensure it is properly inserted and secure. Test the relay response by interrupting the beam several times.
5. Secure the front panels using the provided screws.
