Our specialized solitary beam detectors, or single beam sensors, are vital components in the automation of sliding doors, shutter doors, garage doors, and windows. Each sensor pair comprises a transmitter and receiver, bolstered by an integrated amplifier that projects a specialized infrared beam, either Type I or II, skillfully countering external light interference. Positioned as low as 20-40 cm above the ground, they offer a dependable detection range of 2-20 meters. The IR-20 sensor is particularly remarkable for its self-detecting capability in sliding doors; when the beam is interrupted, the door comes to a halt and retracts completely, only to resume operation once the beam's continuity is restored. After the door closes fully, the detecting beam deactivates.
Functionality:
Strategically position each detector pair at opposite points to create a robust infrared zone. Movement within this zone promptly triggers an alarm signal to the security alarm host (not included). This configuration excels in security systems for schools, commercial ventures, hospitals, residences, and more. The detection range is unwavering, even amidst adverse weather like rain or dust storms.

In real-world applications, the photocell sensor adeptly selects an optimal trigger response time. A response time that's too short may lead to false alarms from elements such as flying birds or falling leaves. Conversely, an excessively long response time could nullify its effectiveness, resulting in missed alarms.
Installation
1. To open the IR-20, lift the front panel of the photocell gently.
2. Place the cables into their respective slots and secure the base to the wall. For a wall installation, drill three 5 ø holes and insert suitable screw anchors. For metal mounting, drill three 3 ø holes and opt for self-tapping screws.
3. Proceed with the necessary connections. Power the photocells using a voltage range between 12-24 VAC or 12-30 VDC. Ensure proper positioning, alignment, and connection so the red LED on the receiver stays off. The red LED will illuminate each time the beam is interrupted.
4. Enclose the photocell with the front panel, making sure it is completely sealed. Interrupt the beam multiple times to test the relay response effectively.
5. Fasten the front panels securely using the provided screws.
