UHF Passive Long Range Hands-Free Parking Solution:
The RFID reader emits radio waves of specific frequencies through RFID antennas. The waves "give energy" to the tags so that they can communicate by emitting a unique ID. They do not need batteries and can be used for many years. The reader processes the data so that we can integrate them into our application and give them meaning. The typical reading range is 0-12 meters. Gen2 UHF RFID systems consist of: readers, antennas, printers, and RFID tags or labels. In this article, I will define with a brief explanation of each of the main elements when implementing an RFID project.

System Description:
Shenzhen JUTAI passive low-cost hands-free parking solution, which has an Integrated UHF long range reader, using the UHF band RFID technology; It is targeted for low budget car parking access control system solution. This solution main is used in long-range parking systems, customers can select JUTAI Parking control broad and use JUTAI whole parking access control software, customers also can integrate it into their own parking access control software by Wigand 26/34 interface or RS485, This solution's main be used in total hands-free parking solution. By TCP/IP connect to JUTAI parking access control software directly and no need additional convertor, It is very easy and convenient for the users. For this solution, on a rainy day no need to wind down the vehicle window, no need to use your hands to take a card, totally hands-free but low-cost solution.
System Highlight:
1. Operating frequency 860 ~ 868MHz or 902 ~ 928MHz, adjusted according to different countries and regions;
2. Wigand 26/34 interface, customers can select our whole solution or can easy to integrate different access control systems;
3. IP 65 Waterproof Rate, no need to add an additional device for rainy days;
4. Reader inside Built-in lightning protection device;
5. Directional antenna technology recognizes only the front of the card reader;
6. Power is less than 0.5W, in line with international environmental standards;

RFID Antennas are responsible for emitting and receiving waves that allow us to detect RFID chips. When an RFID chip crosses the antenna field, it is activated and emits a signal. The antennas create different wave fields and cover different distances.
Antenna Type: Circular polarization antennas work best in environments where the orientation of the tag varies. Linear polarization antennas are used when the orientation of the tags is known and controlled and is always the same. NF (Near Field) antennas are used to read RFID tags within a few centimeters.
Overcast angle and gain: Using antennas with gains of between 8.5-10 dbi or more, will allow us to emit more power and obtain a higher reading ratio. The angle of the opening depends on the area to be covered, for example, 70 °, 100 °, etc. The more overture the antennas have, the less detection distance.
Number of Antennas: Standard high-performance readers have 2 ports, 4 ports, or 8 ports. The number of antennas is usually chosen according to the reading space we want to detect or the density of tags to read. Typically used is 2 or 4 port fixed readers. Some brands have multiplexers that allow us to connect up to 32 antennas in the same reader.

System working principle:
When the vehicle is on the loops which connect to the entry long-range reader. JUTAI smart tag will communicate with long range reader;
After the reader received the tag signal and sends the data to the controller by the Wigand interface, the barrier will open automatically after judging the card ID is valid. (if invalid, the barrier will not open)
After the vehicle passed the second loop under the entry barrier, the barrier arm will down automatically;
The software in the manager Centre will show the real online transaction event, and also can export the EXCEL report
When the vehicle is on the loops which connect to the exit long-range reader, the JUTAI Smart tag will communicate with long range reader
After the reader received the tag signal and sends the data to the controller by the Wigand interface, the barrier will open automatically after judging the card ID is valid. (if invalid, a barrier will not open)
After the vehicle passed the second loop under the exit barrier, the barrier arm will down automatically
