Each pair, comprising a transmitter and receiver with built-in amplifiers, projects a precisely focused infrared beam. Masterfully designed to mitigate external light interference, these sensors confidently operate even at low heights (20-40cm above ground) with a detection range of 2-20 meters. The IR-20's notable self-detection feature ensures doors halt closing upon beam interruption, retract swiftly, and only progress once the beam is re-established-deactivating post-closure for enhanced efficiency.
Functionality:
Strategically position detector pairs to forge a secure infrared zone. Detect movement within this zone to send an alarm signal to a security host (not included). In real-world applications, the photocell sensor intelligently selects an optimal trigger response time. A shorter response may inadvertently react to minor disturbances like birds or leaves, causing false alarms. Conversely, a prolonged response time might result in missed detections, compromising the system's efficacy.
Installation
1. Begin installation by lifting the front panel of the IR-20 photocell.
2. Guide the cables into their designated housing and secure the base to the desired wall location. For wall installations, drill three 5ø holes and apply appropriate screw anchors. For metal surfaces, drill three 3ø holes suited for self-tapping screws.
3. Proceed with the connections. Ensure the photocells are powered within a voltage range of 12-24 VAC or 12-30 VDC. Correct positioning, alignment, and connection will keep the receiver's red LED off. The red LED will illuminate each time the beam is interrupted.
4. Secure the photocell by aligning the front panel and closing it. Test the system by interrupting the beam multiple times to confirm relay responsiveness.
5. Firmly secure the front panels using the provided screws.
