Features:
Solitary beam detectors, also known as single beam sensors, are widely utilized in automated sliding doors, shutter doors, garage doors, windows, and other similar applications. Each unit includes a transmitter and receiver with an integrated amplifier, which emits a precise infrared beam. This narrow infrared beam (Type I or II) effectively resists external light interference. Even when installed at a low height (20 - 40cm above the ground), these sensors maintain a reliable detection range of 2 - 20 meters. The IR-20 sensor incorporates a self-detecting feature specifically for sliding doors. When the self-detecting beam is interrupted, the door halts its closing motion and quickly retracts to the fully open position. It resumes opening until the detecting beam is restored. After the door is completely closed, the detecting beam deactivates.
Functionality:
Position each detector pair at opposite points to create a seamless infrared zone. Movement within this zone triggers an alarm signal sent to the security alarm host (not included). This system is ideal for security setups in educational institutions, commercial buildings, medical facilities, residences, and more. The detection range remains consistent even during adverse weather conditions such as rain and dust storms.
The JUTAI IR-20 Infrared Photo Sensor is compact, IP65 waterproof, and highly resistant to ultraviolet radiation and abrasive particles, ensuring exceptional durability in outdoor environments. An English usage manual with illustrated diagrams is included for effortless installation and setup.

In practical applications, the photocell sensor selects the appropriate trigger response time to avoid unnecessary interference. A response time that is too short can result in false alarms from flying birds or falling leaves, while a response time that is too long can render the sensor ineffective. Striking the right balance is key to optimal performance.
Installation
1. To open the IR-20, lift the front panel of the photocell.
2. Insert the cables into their housing and secure the base to the wall. If mounting the photocell on a wall, drill three 5 ø holes and fit suitable screw anchors. If mounting on metal, drill three 3 ø holes for fitting with self-tapping screws.
3. Make the connections. Power the photocells with a voltage of 12-24 VAC or 12-30 VDC. When positioning, alignment, and connection are correctly carried out, the red LED on the receiver will be off. Each time the ray is interrupted, the red LED will switch on.
4. Cover the photocell with the front panel. Insert to the stop and close it. Interrupt the ray several times to check the relay response.
5. Secure the front panels with the provided screws.
