Obtaining The Best Reading Range
For optimal reading range, employ premium RFID cards and install the reader in an environment free from noise and metal.
The efficacy of RFID cards significantly influences the reader's range. Inferior cards can slash reading distances by up to 50%, while specialized "thick" RFID cards with coils featuring more turns can extend the GP99 reader's range well beyond 90-130cm.
Operating at a 125kHz frequency, this reader may experience noise interference from CRT monitors and nearby RFID readers within the same band. The GP99 reader offers a specialized command to assess current noise levels-details available in section 9.
