The ground-sensing, toroidal coil type vehicle detector is a classic traffic detection system. Predominantly utilized as a buried detection setup, it holds the title of the most widely used detection equipment globally.
This embedded toroidal coil type vehicle detector comprises several key components including a regulated power supply, oscillating coil, logic circuit, microprocessor, interface, driving circuit, signal output circuit, and induction coil, among others.
Loop Detector With Large Sensing Range
The JUTAI LD-100/102 series vehicle detectors boast an expansive sensing range from 15 uH to 2000 uH, allowing for the effortless detection of various vehicle types-from small electric vehicles and motorcycles to traditional cars, trucks, and trailers. However, utilizing a loop coil value of 2000 uH may necessitate substantial high-temperature wire (Model: JTHT-11), leading to material wastage and elevated project hardware costs. Typically, we recommend setting the inductance to around 300 uH, with loop coils measuring 1 meter wide and 2 meters long. For practical application, we suggest 8-10 turns to effectively detect various vehicles. For rapid installation, configure the loop coils (e.g., 1m x 2m, 10 turns), measure the inductance using a multimeter, and adjust the coil size according to the parking entry/exit dimensions. Smaller coil diameters require more turns, while larger diameters need fewer. This flexibility enhances installation efficiency across diverse entry and exit sizes. Fault Detection Function:
The JUTAI vehicle detector stands out with its fault detection output feature. When the loop detector identifies a coil fault or other issues (excluding relay faults), the B relay triggers a signal, causing the connected warning light to flash or sound an alarm. This serves as a timely reminder for maintenance or replacement. After a brief period, the B relay resets, allowing the loop detector to resume operation. This functionality enables customers to schedule maintenance at their convenience, unlike many other market products which stop working immediately upon fault detection, leading to immediate and often inconvenient maintenance needs, increased complaints, higher after-sales service costs, and potentially damaging reputations for installers.
Detector Position And Installation
1. Ensure the detector is installed within a weatherproof housing.
2. Position the detector as close to the sensing loop as possible.
3. Always install the detector away from strong magnetic fields.
4. Avoid placing high voltage wires near the loop detectors.
5. Refrain from installing the detector on vibrating surfaces.
6. If the control box is within 10 meters of the loop, normal wires can be used for connections. For distances greater than 10 meters, employ a 2-core shielded cable, ensuring the distance does not exceed 30 meters.
