JUTAI Single Channel Vehicle Detector User Guide
Connections
The following photo provides detailed connection instructions for JUTAI Single Channel Loop Detectors LD100 and LD102. For optimal performance, connect pin1 and pin2 to the power supply, pin8 and pin9 to the loop coils, and pin5 to GND. We recommend using the JUTAI Loop Cable Mode JTHT-11. Refer to the following connection details for further information.
Indicates And Switch
1. Power LED: The RED power LED indicates 'Power ON' status.
Detecting LED: Continuously On: Indicates vehicle detection.
Blinking slowly: Indicates a short circuit or insufficient loop twists.
Blinking fast: Indicates an open circuit or excessive loop twists.
2. Switch 1 (Trimpot), Sensitivity Selection
The sensitivity of the loop can be finely tuned via the trimpot labeled 'Sensitivity'. Users can choose from 16 distinct settings, with 0 being the least sensitive and 'F' the most sensitive.
3. Switch 2 (Dipswitch Settings)
(1) DIP 1 & DIP 2: Special Function Settings
(2) DIP 3 & DIP 4: Relay B Output Settings
(3) DIP 5: Automatic Reset Setting
(4) DIP 6, 7 & 8: Relay A Delay Settings
(5) DIP 9 & DIP 10: Frequency Settings (40 KHz to 100 KHz) - Used to prevent interference
In applications involving multiple loop detectors and sensing loops, set one detector to a high frequency and the other to a low frequency to reduce cross-talk. Ensure that sensing loops and detectors are positioned at least 2 meters apart.
4. Reset Button: Note that the LD-100 must be reset after any change to the Dip switch settings.
Detector Position and Installation
1. Install the detector within a weatherproof housing.
2. Position the detector as close to the sensing loop as possible.
3. Ensure the detector is installed away from strong magnetic fields.
4. Avoid running high-voltage wires near the loop detectors.
5. Do not install the detector on surfaces prone to vibration.
6. For seamless operation, when the control box is positioned within a 10-meter range of the loop, standard wiring suffices to link the control box and loop. Should the distance exceed 10 meters, a 2-core shielded cable becomes essential. Ensure the control box is no further than 30 meters away from the loop for optimum performance.
Loop Installation
For a seamless finish, the loops are encapsulated using a quick-setting black epoxy compound or hot bitumen mastic, ensuring they blend perfectly with the roadway surface.
Trouble Shooting
The JUTAI LD-100/102 series vehicle detectors boast a broad sensing range of 15 uH to 2000 uH, making them adept at identifying various vehicle types including small electric vehicles, motorcycles, standard cars, trucks, and trailers. To maximize efficiency and minimize material costs, it is advisable to set the inductance around 300 uH. For instance, a coil measuring 1 meter wide and 2 meters long with 8-10 turns will suffice to detect all vehicle models with ease. For quick installations, begin by creating a loop coil (1m wide, 2m long) with 10 turns and measure its inductance using a multimeter. Adapt the coil size based on the specific dimensions of the parking entry or exit channels. Adjust the number of turns according to the coil diameter to ensure flexible application at various entry and exit points, thereby enhancing overall installation efficiency.
